Alaska Botanical Garden

The Alaska Botanical Gardens consists of about 110 acres of “boreal forest”, with approximately 11 acres of cultivated gardens and interconnecting nature trails.

The Chalet Event Room can accommodate up to 150 guests, has an elegant rustic cedar atmosphere, large corner rock fireplace, and tall windows overlooking Bayshore Lake and the Chugach Range.

Bear Essentials Lodge is a rustic lodge located in Anchor Point, Alaska.

 

Bird Point

Bird Point has a paved walkway that leads out toward the inlet. It is surrounded by mountains and has a great view of the inlet. It has two raised platforms that can be used for a nice setting. It also offers a covered pavilion that can be used if the weather is bad. It is located along the Seward highway. From Rabbit Creek Road in Anchorage, continue following the Seward highway approximately 22 miles south toward Girdwood.

Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows

The Chapel is situated in the Girdwood Valley with spectacular views of the local mountains and Moose Meadows. It is located within walking distance to the Alyeska Hotel, which is convenient for wedding receptions.

 

Creekside Lodge

The Hilltop Chalet is available to rent for private events during the summer season.

 

Independence Mine in Hatcher Pass

This is an actual old gold mine! It features a walking tour and views of old mining buildings and machinery. This setting makes an excellent backdrop for some very unusual wedding photos.

 

Kincaid Park and Outdoor Center

Kincaid Park is situated among 1,400 acres of rolling, forested hills and beautiful scenery and offers spectacular view of Mt. Susitna across Cook Inlet; Fire Island to the Southwest; both Mt. Denali and Mt. Foraker to the North; and arguably, the best sunsets in Anchorage! Many species of wildlife roam free within the park. The park is free to roam through, but if you want to have an indoor wedding and/or a reception, you will need to contact the facility manager.

 

Matanuska Glacier

The largest glacier accessible by car in Alaska, from the Glacier park, you can walk right out onto the glacier! This a great wedding site for the more adventurous couple. Mile 102 Glen Highway. Access Fee: $20 per person.

 

Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge

Wedding ceremonies may take place in various locations on the property: dining room, covered porch, or outside on the grass lawn. We have even had groups that have gotten married on the Matanuska Glacier with a reception following at Majestic Valley Lodge. Wild flowers, trees, flower gardens, and hanging flower baskets adorn the natural mountainous backdrop.
